Welcome to beginners

The painting workshop will be given by Francesco Fontana in different locations of Provence: Ilse sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Roussillon, Conservatorium Roussillon (oker), Gordes, Luberon, Oppède le vieux, Aix en Provence. Some pre-sessions will take place in the beautiful park of the guest house.

Painting open air will help you to quickly understand what really matters for your work among the elements you see.

As a beginner your technique discoveries will be guided from the start. Expert painter will enjoy sharing with a small passionate group (and still get new tips!)

The technique: both for oil and watercolour – it will focus on colour mixing, starting from the three primary colours. “The less colours you use the better painter you are”. You’ll learn how to get the richest palette and keep your artwork in harmony.

Duration: 1h morning meeting + 3h painting session in the afternoon. Daily schedule may be adjusted to the group's requests.

Materials: a list of essential colours and tools will be available. You can also demand your painting kit for purchase or rent.
